Those who watch American Idol Season 10 will know who the top three was - Scotty McCreery, Haley Reinheart and Lauren Alaina.
Scotty was my mum's favourite, Haley was my dad's and I was supporting Lauren since the auditions. Her audition in Nashville was a nostalgia, especially when she sang "I don't wanna miss a thing" by Steven Tyler. Haley got eliminated last week. Shocking for some.
"This is the battle between Scotty Vs Lauren, The Boy next door Vs The Southern Belle. Both love country music, both are teenagers and both wanna win it all."(Seacrest 2011) This is the youngest finale match up EVER.
For the finale, each finalist sings 3 songs. The first song they sang was their favourite pick (any song they sang before today), the second song was a song picked by their own American Idol and the third song was a song written by Americans which was chosen by Jimmy which will be their first single if they win the competition. Confusing? Aiya, I dunno how to explain la.
This is Jimmy, the contestant's mentor. lol
Scotty won the coin toss, but the gentlemen let the lady choose the order of performance. Lauren opted to sing second.

Scotty's 3rd Song : I love you this big - (New Song)
Lauren's 1st Song : Flat on the Floor
Lauren's 2nd Song : Maybe it was Memphis
Lauren's 3rd song : Like my Mother Does (New Song)
As I said before, I am a fan of Lauren Alaina. But i have to be honest, both finalist sang very well. The judges' verdict was Scotty won round 1, Lauren won round 2 and WohooOO Lauren won round 3. =)
However, it is not the judges who decide who the winner is. It is the people of America. Result show is on 8 a.m tomorrow morning our time Live on StarWorld. Can't wait.
